You Don't Need an iPod

  • You can get a podcast on a computer
    • Many have players on their page
    • Online services can help you play them from the net-
    • You can play them in your browser
      • click the link- most browsers will ask you if you want to open them, and they will even suggest the program.
    • You can download them to your computer
      • click the link and select download, or
      • right-click the link and choose 'save link as' and then it will download
    • Use a podcatcher or feed catcher like:
      • itunes
      • podcastready
      • juice
      • newsgator
        • If you do use a podcatcher, you still don't need an ipod, because all allow you to play the files on the computer.
    • You CAN use an mp3 player
      • ipod is easiest
      • others are tougher to use.
